Block Captain

Own your block. Grow the precinct.

Block Captains are the backbone of Precinct 575. You are assigned a specific street or neighborhood cluster and serve as the direct link between your neighbors and the Precinct Chair. You know your block better than anyone — and that local knowledge is exactly what wins elections.

What You'll Do

  • Knock doors and introduce yourself to Republican-leaning neighbors
  • Share precinct updates, event invites, and voter registration info
  • Identify new voters who move into your area and connect them to the party
  • Help organize and turn out voters on Election Day
  • Attend one training per year and stay in contact with the Precinct Chair
Time Commitment: ~2–4 hours/month, more during election season

Precinct Volunteer

Show up. Make a difference.

Precinct Volunteers are the engine that keeps Precinct 575 running. Whether you can give two hours a month or two hours a week, there is always something meaningful to do — from phone banking and event setup to social media and data entry. No experience required.

What You'll Do

  • Phone bank and text bank Republican voters ahead of elections
  • Help set up and staff precinct events and meet-and-greets
  • Assist with voter registration drives in the community
  • Support block walking efforts alongside Block Captains
  • Help with social media, flyer distribution, and outreach materials
Time Commitment: Flexible — as little as 2 hours/month

Convention Pathway

Delegate Candidate

Take your voice to the convention floor.

Delegates represent Precinct 575 at the Harris County Republican Senatorial District Convention and, in presidential election years, help send delegates to the Republican National Convention. The process starts at the Precinct Convention held on the night of the Republican Primary — any registered voter who votes in the primary can participate.

What You'll Do

  • Vote in the Republican Primary to be eligible to participate
  • Attend the Precinct Convention (held the night of the primary) to be elected as a delegate
  • Represent Precinct 575 at the Senatorial District / County Convention
  • Vote on the party platform, party officers, and resolutions
  • In presidential election years, help select delegates to the Republican National Convention
Time Commitment: Precinct Convention night + County/SD Convention (1–2 days in spring)

How the Convention Pathway Works

Vote in the Primary

Vote in the Republican Primary election (March). This makes you eligible to participate in the Precinct Convention.

Precinct Convention

Held the night of the primary at your polling place. Elect delegates and alternates to the Senatorial District Convention.

SD / County Convention

Elected delegates represent Precinct 575 at the Senatorial District Convention in spring to elect state delegates and adopt resolutions.

State Convention

Elect party officers, adopt the Texas GOP platform. In presidential years, delegates to the RNC are selected here.
