About Jacovia
Conservative. Committed. On the Ground.
Jacovia Cartwright is a lifelong conservative Republican and the founder of the Texas Coalition of Republican Clubs (TxCRC). He has been active in Republican politics at the neighborhood, county, state, and national level.
For 12 consecutive years, Jacovia has served as a Presiding Judge in every election — large and small — except the two cycles where he was on the ballot himself. He has attended the State Convention as a delegate representing this precinct, and served as Sergeant at Arms at the Precinct Convention for Senate District 7.
Even without the title, he showed up and did the work. Now as your elected Precinct Chair, he's committed to building the most active precinct in Harris County.

The Precinct Chair is the most local elected position in the Republican Party — and one of the most powerful grassroots roles in all of politics.

The largest Republican convention in the country — right here in our backyard. Elect party officers, adopt the platform, and send delegates to the national convention. During presidential election years, delegates are sent to the RNC.

How to Become a Delegate — 4 Steps

Vote in the Republican Primary
March 3, 2026 — voting in the primary qualifies you to participate in the convention process.

Attend the Precinct Convention
March 7, 2026 at Spring Baptist Church (HD 150) — show up, sign in, and get elected as a Senate District delegate.

Attend the Senate District Convention
March 28, 2026 — as an elected delegate, vote to advance to the State Convention.

Attend the State Convention in Houston
June 11–13, 2026 at the George R. Brown Convention Center — represent Precinct 575 on the biggest stage in Texas politics.

Hotel: Room blocks at host hotels set by the RPT at ~$200/night. Delegates get advance notice — book early.

Transportation: Free convention buses are available. Carpooling and Airbnb sharing are encouraged.

Cost: Transportation, hotel, and meals are the delegate's responsibility. Plan ahead.

Attendance: All three days (Thu–Sat) are expected. Roll call is taken by Senate District to confirm quorum.
